New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, 18th to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 664 BCE.
A blue amulet in the form of the god Ra-Horakhty seated in profile with knees raised up and wearing a sun disc atop head; small loop on one side of his head so it could be worn for protection.
Ra-Horakhty was created in later Egyptian mythology to link Horakhty - a sunrise aspect of Horus - to Ra - the ancient Egyptian sun god and king of the deities as well as father of creation.
