Magna Gracia, Southern Italy circa 4th Century BC.  

A lovely painted plate with a typical head female profile taking up the whole scene. She wears a saccos tied in a bow and earrings. The  circumference is encircled by added white leaves and  banded at rim. All original added white remains! Intact. Fine style. 
Size: 9-1/2 inched Diam (24.1cm) 
Provenance: Private New York Collection, Acquired in Germany 1990s.
