A large hollow redware pottery  effigy of a dog with a flat back, most likely used as a headrest. The  abstract form has a stylized body with firmly planted legs and head turned sideways. A long spout protrudes atop. Excellent red surface with several areas of strong mineral deposits
Size: 7-1/2”H. x 7-3/4”W.  
Provenance:   Collection of Justin Kerr, NYC. Acquired mostly 1970 through the 1980’s.
