Late Period, 26th Dynasty, circa 610-570 B.C.

A fine molded mummiform servant figure holding hoe and sickle for work in the afterlife and with tripartite wig and strong facial characteristics. Seven rows of hieroglyphics from -The Book of the Dead- are visible across the front.  It is inscribed for -The servant To- who is called 'Overseer of the Antechamber, Hor-Ir-Aa'

Size 18.5 cm high + custom base.

Provenance: Old Collection, Berlin, acquired 26 February 1963 from M. Gassierer (as recorded in Mr Bs photo album).
