Vivid painted cartonnage panel from the mummy wrappings of the lady Ta‑her, daughter of Ta‑amun.

Executed on linen with gesso and rich polychrome mineral pigments, the composition centers on a vertical band of hieroglyphs invoking Khepri to protect “the Osiris Ta‑her, justified, born of Ta‑amun, justified, forever and ever,” flanked by tightly ordered registers of colorful triangular shrine motifs and finished below with a row of large teardrop‑shaped leaves. The upper register preserves a winged scarab, emblem of rebirth, spreading its multicolored wings protectively over the text. 

A striking, highly decorative panel with strong color and clear inscription, measuring  14 1/2 x 6 1/4 in (36.8 x 16 cm), mounted in a modern giltwood frame and ready to hang.

Ex Dr. Hans Halter collection, Switzerland, acquired before 1966; in a European collection since 2006.
