Second Intermediate Period,  Hyksos Period, possibly Canaanite manufacture, circa 1650–1550 B.C.

the domed back naturalistically rendered with the beetle's clypeus, prothorax, and elytra  and hatched registers indicating the folded wings and legs, while the flat oval base is deeply engraved with  a stylized divine figure or deity combining a horned solar crown, raised protective hands, and a ribbed kilt.  On both sides of the central figure are vertical palm fronds (the Egyptian renpet symbol), which represent youth, renewal, and "millions of years" (eternity). The outer symbols are two vertical oval motifs which may be stylized uraei or  protective cobra signs framing the overall design.
