Gulf coast of Mexico, Circa 600 to 800 AD.
Molded pottery articulated figure, composed of five separately cast pieces, arms, legs and body. Having a long striated hairdo, with ear spools. Wearing a wide fancy decorated collar, long beaded necklace and fancy relief decorated shirt. Some remaining white slip surface pigment with a few traces of blue highlights.

Provenance: Collection of Justin Kerr, NYC, scholar, noted photographer and inventor of the Maya cylinder rollout photography process. Acquired mostly 1970 through the 1980’s.
