Circa 19th century AD

Cast bronze statue representing a seated Jain Tirthankara, most likely Parshvanatha, shown in a classic meditative posture. The figure sits cross-legged on a tiered pedestal base, with the hands resting in the lap in dhyana mudra (gesture of meditation). Above the head, there is a distinct serpent hood, which is a primary iconographic symbol associated with Parshvanatha—often depicted sheltered by a multi-headed cobra, signifying protection and spiritual awakening.
