XRF elemental analysis report from Manhattan Gold and Silver Inc for what appears to be a pre-Columbian style gold figurine in the shape of a human form. The analysis reveals:
Composition
Gold (Au): 62.5 ± 0.3%
Silver (Ag): 4.62 ± 0.10%
Copper (Cu): 32.9 ± 0.3%
Classification
The piece is classified as 14.9K gold, with no plating detected. The analysis was conducted using an ElvaX spectrometer by Elvatech company on December 16, 2024.
Characteristics
The figurine appears to be a small pendant or ornament depicting a stylized human figure with outstretched arms and a distinctive headdress, characteristic of pre-Columbian artistic style. The golden color and metallic sheen are consistent with the high gold content identified in the analysis.
This composition, particularly the significant copper content, is typical of pre-Columbian gold alloys, which often incorporated copper to create a specific color and improve the metal's workability.

Provenance:   From the estate of Andres Illies, who inherited it from his grandfather, Ferdinand Grebien. Mr. Ferdinand Grebien was born in Austria, and arrived in Panama in 1911 to work on the construction of the canal. He founded Grebien & Martinz, a major private construction firm, (with more than 1000 employees) that went on to build many major institutions in Panama, including the Municipal Palace of the District of Colón. Grebien was an avid collector of ancient Pre Columbian gold. Shown in the listing is a photo of Ferdinand Grebien displaying part of his gold collection at the 1964 World’s fair in NY.
