West Mexico, Protoclassic Period, circa 100 BCE to 250 CE.

Polychrome decorated pottery warrior figure, wearing a horned helmet, barrel type body armor and holding a long weapon with both hands. Painted red-orange ground with cream color stripes and necklace, all with black linear highlights. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Rear support leg and right helmet tab are reattached, otherwise intact, excellent condition. A nice example.
