Late period, ca. 700 - 30 B.C.  A cast votive bronze diminutive mummiform male God Osiris  standing with hands folded across body holding crook and flail, wearing a tall plume mitre headdress and beard. 

Sizes: 3-3/4 in H. taller on block. Condition: chip to headdress, original oxidized caramel brown color patina, worn and cleaned.

Provenance: Purchased from Omar Khayam Museum, Jerusalem Israel, in 1984, with certificate of purchase by Rosa and Aaron Esman, Lexingtom Ave, NY. Throughout their seventy-year marriage, Rosa and Aaron Esman shared a profound passion for the arts. Rosa Esman was a prominent figure in the art world, owning several renowned galleries such as Tanglewood Gallery and Rosa Esman Gallery, and co-founding Ubu Gallery. She was a pioneer print publisher of limited edition artworks while at Tanglewood Press, Original Editions, and Abrams Original Editions. 

Dr. Aaron Esman was an avid enthusiast of literature, classical and jazz performances, and theater. As a psychiatrist, he delved deeply into the intricacies of the human mind and its relationship with creativity, often writing on the subject.

We ship Tuesday to Friday with UPS or USPS and usually same day if your order is received before 2pm. Depending on size and destination, delivery times range from one to five business days.

For overseas shipments our shipping charge includes packing, preparation of all customs paperwork, insurance and carrier fees in compliance with all USA and International customs requirements.
