26th dynasty circa 664-525 BCE

Part of the decoration of the inner sarcophagus of a mummy made of bandages or line covered with gesso, hardened and then painted hieroglyphics symbols, notable a falcon bird.

Size 3.25", H x 4.5" L. Much bigger in presentation mount.  Old coll notation on back.
