 Early Early Bronze Age II, circa 2600-2400 B.C.

Depicted with her legs slightly bent at the knees (missing), two small protruding breasts and forearms folded over the abdomen, with elongated neck (repaired), sloping shoulders and flaring head with long aquiline nose, the details of the body finely incised.

Size: 7-1/4 inches (18.4cm) H. 

Provenance: NY private collector whose mother was Baroness Korff; who inherited it from her aunt, the American sculptor Mary Callery (1903-1977) who was gifted it by her friend and mentor Pablo Picasso (click here).
