Khmer Empire, Cambodia (Angkor Wat / Bayon Style), ca. 12th – 13th Century AD

Cast in strict frontal samabhanga (erect, symmetrical posture) atop a small integrated square plinth. She wears a traditional vertically pleated sampot (skirt/dhoti) secured by a low-slung, ornate beaded belt with a central circular spiral buckle and cascading folded sash. She is adorned with beaded armlets (keyura), bangles, and an elaborate multi-strand collar necklace (kanthi). Her serene face features almond-shaped eyes, a subtle archaic smile, and elongated earlobes flanked by dangling earrings. Her hair is drawn up beneath a conical, stepped mukuta/tiara finial (jatamukuta). In her right hand, she holds a stylized lotus bud (padma), and her left hand is held open in a ritual clasp/attribute gesture. Cast bronze copper alloy with deep dark brown-black patina, malachite green oxidations, and burial earthen encrustations
