A lovely figure with nice details; he is seated and holding a club or prestige staff, wearing textile armor, earrings, nose ornament and horned helmet; large alert eyes framed by a black mask and with black pupils contrasting with white sclera.

A nice example.

Size 7-1/2 inches H. 

Provenance:  From The estate of Dr Jose des Urquidi and was exhibited in 1938 as part of the rare arts collection of the Mexican National Government at the worlds fair in NY city. Original index card with provenance included.
