From Palmyrene, circa 1st to 2nd century AD.

The large female head is a depiction of a quite well to do fashionable woman of her time. Her hair is done in elaborate groupings of rows and curls under her diadem (veil). She wears fancy jewelry consisting of a forehead chain under a jeweled diadem and dangling earrings on her ears; her mature yet pretty face has full outlined lips, well formed cheeks and chin and her sensitive eyes with raised brows and drilled pupils. Almost all of her thin aquiline nose remains, tip gone.
Size: 13 inches (33 cm) height + custom mount.
