This striking signet-style ring centers on an authentic ancient Greek silver drachm minted during the reign of Alexander the Great or in the immediate Posthumous Hellenistic period, circa 336–300 BC. The obverse depicts the youthful head of Herakles facing right, donning the pelt of the legendary Nemean lion with its paws gathered and tied securely beneath his chin. The coin measures approximately 0.67 to 0.71 inches (1.7 to 1.8 cm) in diameter across the bezel. It is custom-mounted in a heavy, sculptural hand-wrought setting crafted from patinated sterling silver, framed by a prominent, raised yellow gold bezel collet. Ring size 8 but can be adjusted becase its open back. The substantial shank tapers down the finger, flanked by stepped architectural shoulder moldings that terminate in inset, triangular yellow gold plaques worked in classical low relief, balancing ancient Hellenistic numismatic art with durable, wearable modern jewelry making.
