Colombia Ca. 500 to 1000  AD.     Large hollow pottery seated abstract figure of flattened rectangular form. He rests his hands close to body. Flat rectangular head with incised slit eyes and large relief nose with perforation for adornment.  Perforations through his forehead and his chest. Some remaining traces of black linear decoration on his face and he is wearing incised arm and leg bands having geometric decoration. Overall surface with mineral deposits.

Provenance:  Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.  Jeffrey Norris (b. 1955), Georgia, acquired from the above in the early 2000s.
