Eastern Mediterranean; Ca. 1st - 2nd century A.D.

Blown green glass amphoriskos or flask, having a disc form body, tapered cylindrical long neck with two applied glass rings and opposing handles. Overall scattered areas of silvery iridescent surface patina. Intact, excellent condition. A scarce type.
Size:    5-7/8”H. x 3-3/8”W. + custom base.
Provenance:  Ex CT estate; acquired from Herbert Cahn International Gallery, ex. Munzen and Medaillen A.G., Basel, Sonderliste Q, November 1976, no. 48. Ex. Private Collection A. and M.Z., Switzerland. By descent to the family, with copy of sales receipt.
