Drilled longitudinally for suspension. he flat intaglio face is engraved above a single groundline with a recumbent or pacing quadruped (horse or bull) facing right, rendered with a stylized striated torso. The Magic of Carnelian: In both ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern belief, red carnelian was associated with solar energy, blood, vitality, and protection against evil spirits or physical harm.
