 Circa 1st to 2nd century AD.

Banded agate cabochon, cream and beige tones with concentric zig‑zag bands, smoothly polished on both faces. High‑karat gold sheet bezel, hammer‑set with triangular prongs around the perimeter and a twisted wire outer border. One suspension loop above and two lateral loops below, probably for use on a necklace or as a central element in a more complex jewel.

Dimensions: 25 × 15 mm; weight: 2.11 g.

Condition: Surface wear and minor encrustation in crevices; loops and bezel intact.

Tear‑drop agate pendants with multiple attachment loops are well‑documented in Roman contexts from the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East, where banded agates were favored for amuletic jewelry.
