Mid‑20th century, ca. 1940–1970.  
Cast by the lost‑wax method, this elongated male figure stands on a small ovoid base with the feet modeled in low relief. The tall, tapering torso leads to rounded hips and straight legs, with a simple belt and rectangular loincloth indicated at the waist. The head is prominently modeled with a high crested coiffure incised with parallel grooves, arched brows, narrowed eyes, and a pointed beard descending in a twisted strand. Surface shows a warm brass patina with scattered casting pits, oxidation, and green encrustation around the base and underside, consistent with several decades of age and handling.

Size 8 inches (20.3cm) H.; 9-1/4 in mounted on a custom wood base.  

Condition: Both arms absent, broken at the shoulders, with exposed oxidized core material at the break points. Stable, Surface wear consistent with age and handling.

Figures of this type relate to Baule brass figurative casts used in personal and domestic shrines and, in the later 20th century, also produced for local and export markets.
