Late Period, Circa 715 to 300 BC

Terracotta mummiform figure of Hapy, the baboon‑headed Son of Horus, depicted standing with arms crossed over the chest and holding a sceptre, wearing a tripartite wig and showing a strongly protruding lower jaw.  The figure is rendered in a dense reddish fabric with a granular surface, the body tapering to a narrow base, the back flat for attachment or placement, and the front articulated with simple ridges for the wig lappets, crossed arms, and kilt. Surface with earthen deposits, minor pitting, and edge wear consistent with age, but overall intact and presenting a powerful, highly stylized silhouette.

The Four Sons of Horus—of whom Hapy guarded the lungs—were key protective deities in the funerary cult and often appear as small figures associated with canopic equipment and tomb furnishings.
