Etruscan or South Italian, Archaic–Classical period, Circa 6th to 4th Century BCE.   The felines with compact, plank‑like forelegs, slightly over‑large paws, and the arched back with up‑curled tail are very close to small Archaic–Classical bronze furniture or cauldron attachments from Etruria and Southern Italy which may have been part of a tripod/cauldron rim, whereas these read like independent appliqués or feet.

The birds are simplified doves or pigeons with ridged wings and a solid, triangular body which are a well‑known Italic/Etruscan motifs, used on cista handles, furniture fittings, and box lids. Each bird has a single cast tenon and separate modern brass pins used to affix them to the modern wooden plinth; the lions appear to sit flat, suggesting they were originally pegged, or simply resting as detachable counters on another surface.

Pairs or groups of recumbent felines and birds are common in both Greek and Etruscan decorative repertoires, but the somewhat squat, almost “toy‑like” volume of the cats and the very schematic dove bodies lean toward Etruscan / Italic provincial casting rather than a mainland Greek workshop.
