Ancient Near Eastern (Luristan / Northwestern Iran) or Levantine tradition, Circa 1st millennium BCE (c. 10th–6th Century BCE)

A cast bronze votive finial or standard terminal modeled in the form of a standing bull atop an integral looped pedestal foot. The figure features characteristically stylized anatomical traits with elongated bovine head with prominent forward-curving horns, horizontal ears, large incised ring eyes, and an open muzzle. The body with lean, arched tubular torso terminating in a downward-curved tail, resting on conjoined forelegs and hindlegs that loop down to meet an integral, disc-like base.
Dimensions: Height: 2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm)
Figures of this type served as master-of-animals style talismanic finials, whetstone handles, or standard tops common across Iron Age Luristan and greater Ancient Near Eastern metalworking traditions, symbolizing fertility, strength, and pastoral wealth.
