Pre-Classic Period,  Ca. 1000 - 600 B.C.

Carved variegated green jade small maskette pendant having a high relief carved nose, bow shape parted lips, deeply recessed and drilled eyes, arched brows, tab ears with biconical drill holes as well as a suspension hole in the top center ridge. Incised diagonal linear hair details. Overall encrusted remains of cinnabar in the low carved areas. Intact, excellent condition.

Size: 2”H. x 1-7/8”W. Very nice and rare specimen.
